FICS' eStatus Provides Online Access to Residential Mortgage Loan Data and Creates a More User-Friendly Environment for Borrowers
DALLAS, Dec. 6, 2005 - Financial Industry Computer Systems, Inc. (FICS), a mortgage technology specialist that provides in-house residential servicing technology to the mortgage industry, announced new upgrades to eStatus, part of its residential mortgage loan servicing suite of products. eStatus interfaces real-time with Mortgage Servicer, FICS' residential mortgage loan servicing system, to provide online customer service for borrowers.
eStatus now enables lenders to present a more unified branding message throughout their Web sites, as well as, create a more user-friendly environment for borrowers. Lenders can further customize their eStatus Web sites by selecting from different layouts, graphics and color schemes, which contain new cross-selling boxes available for educating borrowers about other product offerings and an extended area for tailoring their company's individual welcome message.
By sending a standardized e-mail message to borrowers encouraging them to view statements and notices (such as Amortized Loan Statement, Change Notice Analysis, or T&I Disclosure) on the financial institution's eStatus Web site, lenders are able to reduce the amount of incoming call volume, while maintaining high customer service levels. Because documents are available for display in eStatus as soon as they are generated in Mortgage Servicer, borrowers always have access to up-to-date information about their loans. Some of the new key features the borrower will benefit from include:
- The ability to easily request payoff statements
- Additional options for receiving payoff statements
- The ability to view payment history through an expandable/collapsible list with a detailed itemization of each transaction
- Automatic verification of routing and transit numbers for ACH transaction processing
- A more flexible contact management solution that allows lenders to input an instructional message to the borrower on how to submit personal information changes
"As borrowers and lenders become more comfortable doing business online, it is imperative for lenders to provide more sophisticated online offerings to their customers," said Dawn Gibbs, president and CEO of FICS. "eStatus capitalizes on the functionality of the Internet by providing borrowers with online access to their own residential mortgage loan data. This added service enhances the lender's overall customer service levels without requiring additional staff."
