FICS Upgrades Database Solutions and Now Supports Microsoft Vista
DALLAS, Dec. 5, 2007 – Financial Industry Computer Systems, Inc. (FICS), a mortgage technology specialist that provides in-house residential origination and servicing technology and commercial servicing technology to the mortgage industry, announced that it has enhanced its client server based-solutions to be compatible with Sybase SQL Anywhere 10, which provides data management and exchange technologies designed for database-powered applications that operate in frontline environments. Also included are changes to increase the performance level when using Microsoft SQL Server 2005, a comprehensive, integrated data management and analysis software. FICS has further completed its testing and will now support Microsoft Vista, Microsoft’s latest operating system, without User Account Control. The enhanced solutions were released to customers in November.
With these upgrades, FICS customers will realize vast improvements in the optimization of the database structure, which will reduce overhead expenses and require less disk space. Performance enhancements to the database, including the ability to utilize multiple processors for a single database query, will improve performance and increase operational speed, ultimately creating a more efficient work environment for users.
